Helping Asset Owners Standardize

Having successfully integrated and commissioned over 5 GW (150+ utility-scale PV projects) through the U.S., Nor-Cal develops documentation specifications pertaining to both Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (DAS/SCADA) scopes of work for Asset Owners and EPCs within the solar PV sector.

Specifications are developed based on industry best practices and are kept up to date to account for the ever-changing requirements of the grid, independent system operators, and participating utilities.

Specifications take client-specific preferences into account, including any existing standards and manufacturer preferences for hardware and software.

Asset Owners are able to provide these developed specifications to bidding EPCs, allowing a turnkey scope of work to bid against.

Typical written specifications include requirements specific to the following scopes of work for PV projects:

• PV Array SCADA/DAS
• Substation SCADA/DAS
• Plant Controller
• Weather Instrumentation (MET)
• Networking and IT, including NERC CIP compliance
