This course is designed to enhance the skill sets of both maintenance and operation personnel responsible for the MKVI control system.  The student will learn the tools and skills required to understand, modify, add, and troubleshoot Speedtronic MKVI Toolbox and Cimplicity Workbench HMI.

MKVI Toolbox
  • Configuration and networking
  • Analog, digital and networked I/O addition and configuration
  • Project configuration, sequence editing, signal flow and block logic
  • I/O card applications (e.g., VSVO, VAIC)
  • Alarm tracing and alarm sequence of events
  • Communications protocols (e.g., EGD, Modbus, Peer-to-Peer)
  • Signal tracing best practices (e.g., M6B to EGD to Cimplicity)
  • Calibrations - Servo/LVDT, valves (e.g., fuel, IGV)
  • Hardware diagnostic and process alarm troubleshooting

Cimplicity Workbench

  • HMI Creation and Modification
  • Animation and frame containers
  • Excel Add-in, navigation bar
